Directions: At Bayard Street. Subway: Grand or Canal My former Hong Kong colleague introduced me to this place, one of her favorites. Definitely reminded us of many ordinary places there, serving delicious food. We had a simple early evening meal of braised sea bass casserole, sauteed pea shoots, and rice. I think the casseroles may be seasonal (winter) since I don't see them on the online menu. Besides the fish it contained mushrooms and tofu, probably onions in a light brown sauce. The pea shoots were a great complement. We debated about having sautéed flowering Chinese chives instead. Bet they would have been good, too. They have an extensive menu of real Chinese dishes which I would love to explore. Our tab was under $30 which we paid cash. Not sure they take plastic.
