Due to lack of other options in town, it's good, but food definitely doesn't live up to ambiance or wine list.

You want to like this place. It's cozy and warm inside with really relaxing lighting. It's cheerful and fun with people watching outside. There's a great wine selection and the service is nothing but friendly. But the food is just okay.

The town is very small and only has a handful of resturant options with this being one of the more intriguing price, ambiance and choice-wise so somehow you end up there. People can't be coming back over and over for the food. It's just not that good.

The squash, maple syrup salad is really tasty and maybe just sticking to appetizers and starters is the way to go. The tuna entree had so many different flavors working that really didn't meld together. The gnocchi was huge. It's supposed to be light little pillows of potatoe not gunnysacks full. The lamb, I'm told, was actually tasty and absolutely fell off the bone with no knife required. The filet, though, was tough and tasteless.

Wine recommendations, however, were good, as was the cobbler dessert. And, as I pointed out, with it just steps from your hotel in a town with only about four restaurants, you can make this work. Don't make a special trip, though, and focus on the wine and the appetizers.
