When: 2010

Good service, generous portions, fun drink menu, lively rooms all housed in a historical building erected in 1895 in Old Colorado City.

Directions: NW corner W. Colorado Ave. and 28th

Before dinner we started with a Negroni - Campari, gin and vermouth. What a surprise - we spend a lot of time in the area and have not seen the drink menus being so diverse.

We shared an order of penne alla vodka as our primi, my notes read ‘yummm, rich & delicious’.

Dinner came with a nice salad, it was simple with shredded carrot and hit the spot.

For our main courses/secondi we had veal Giuseppe ($17.95) - veal scaloppini sauteed w/ garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichoke hearts, finished w/ a roasted garlic cream sauce, we asked to have the sauce on the side and “please ask the kitchen to go light with the garlic”. The kitchen listened. We also ordered veal picatta ($16.50.) It was nicely finished ... Both dishes were served over a bed of capellini pasta.

We had two more full servings for the next evening and we left with the thought that the tastes were really good. We will go back.

A few more things; Their desserts were all inviting, but we passed. They do private parties, weddings and rehearsal dinners. They have all sorts of options for family style dinner, Italian buffet, five course dinner, create your own menus.
