Huge portions of good food, but you have to be willing to sit on plastic chairs to get it.

The garden room is the room you want because it is facing a very pretty garden and much roomier than the inside. The drawback, though, is it has a beautiful table and then you're sitting on rickety plastic chairs. I know it's not a huge deal, but for an average of about $40 a person (without drink, tax or tip), I want a real chair.

Service was good and friendly. Wine suggestion was okay.

I started with an asparagus soup that was very tasty. I then had a pasta with prawns that was very good and absolutely huge! Others in the party had a fish that was light but very filling due to the portion size, and a ribeye that was cooked perfectly and quite tasty.

The telling point, though, is when it came to dessert, we actually chose to leave and walk down the street for an ice cream because the room and the table just weren't holding us there. For being considered one of the "best" restaurants in town and being compared by Zagat to Alice Waters of Chez Panisse I would like to see a slightly more sophisticated service and a wooden chair.
