Excellent food at a reasonable price

Went here on a recommendation from the owner of the rental we stayed in. The food was wonderful - homemade bread, large salad served family style (the raw zucchini and squash perplexed us a bit, but it was still good). Dressings were vinaigrette, bleu cheese and french. Crackers and cheese kept the kids satisfied until mealtime.

We all enjoyed our entrees immensely, no complaints at all. We had a variety of items between us all including, seafood Newburg, blackened salmon, char-grilled salmon, chicken ala Whitman, scallops, petite fillet and chicken fingers & fries for the kids. The prices were EXTREMELY reasonable for the size of the portions (human sized), mostly under $20, which was getting a bit difficult to find in a sit down restaurant on the cape for entrees other than fried food.

I don't know if they were short staffed, but we ordered our meals at the same time as our drinks and we were still there for over two hours. Luckily the kids (ages 8 and 6) were in good spirits, and they liked being able to open the treasure chest at the and and take a piece of "booty". We figured for that reason it was child friendly. We would have stayed for coffee and dessert, because we really did enjoy the food, but just couldn't take a chance on a three hour outing.

Even with the wait, we would definitely return and will go back if in the area again next year! It was one of our favorite meals.

Total cost for 6 adults, including three beers, was $157.00 before tip.
