3bed/2bath house in Lincoln City, Oregon

Location

The house location was okay, though not as described in their marketing. The beach was maybe a 1/4 mile walk from the house. The neighborhood was fairly quiet.

Nearby Amenities

There is a casino, supermarket, and restaurants within a short drive.

The House/Apartment

The house was in somewhat poor shape. Not well kept.

Garden

There is a small sitting area outside the kitchen. The house behind this one overlooks it.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The house was older and worn-out. The pictures of the house and view on their site must be several years old. Trees have grown and now block the view. The house was dirty (i.e., crumpled candy wrappers on the ground).

It was a very disappointing experience. I have further comments and pictures at Lincoln City Beach House Rental. This site is solely for this review and has no commercial use.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were okay. The downstairs bathroom smelled like urine. The upstairs bathroom was fine.

Kitchen

The kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans and dishes. They were all well used. We avoided using the kitchen to cook.

Problems or Bonuses

We saw a lot of bugs and spiders and also signs of at least one mouse. The lock box code we were given was incorrect.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The published information on this house appears to be very out of date. I contacted the agency after the first day and twice more in the next few days. They did not contact me until three weeks after the vacation. They did speak English.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We do not recommend this house. It is the only time we used this agency so do not know if it is a fair representation of the company.
