Review 3384: Owner, Hale Kalalea
1bed/1bath apartment on Kauai, Hawaii
Feb 21 2008, 2 weeks
The rental is in Anahola, Kauai "Hale Kalalea."
Driving was the only real option.
The home is in excellent shape, almost new. We had the upper floor unit, very peaceful with gorgeous mountain views and some ocean view. The rental is composed of an upper floor and lower floor unit detached from the owner's residence, with a hot tub for use by both rentals.
Beautiful grounds, not large, but very nice, down a private lane.
All furnishings are basically new, and everything was spotless, with all pots pans, coffe maker, toaster, micro, hot plate etc. that were needed. All very clean and excellently maintained.
The bed was very comfortable, lots of linen, use of washer dryer, etc.
Kitchen was great, but no oven.
Problems or Bonuses
A little bit of road noise, but basically gone when front door closed. Oh, and roosters crowing, but we got to like that!
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Lee and Maria, the owners were just wonderful people, very sincere and down to earth. The website very well represents the actual place.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I will definitely stay here again! It felt like home!
