4bed/4bath house in Kapoho, Hawaii WhenSeptember 2008, 1 week LocationBeautifully decorated house by the sea within three minutes walking distance to the Kapoho Tidepools Conservation Park. Very private, residential community. Never saw neighbors; just island fisherman setting their nets on the beach/tide pools. Nearby AmenitiesGrocery stores and restaurants less than 15 minutes drive away through beautiful countryside and rain forests. The House/ApartmentMain house -- first floor had open kitchen with center island/living room/dining area/den area plus two large bedroom suites. The upstairs is one large bedroom suite with its own lanai. An ohana with its own bedroom suite is also next to the house. GardenThere are two patios, one by the front has an above ground pool with a gas grill. Then, back of the house is a large patio with two glass tables with plenty of sitting and a hot tub. Gardenia bushes line the walkway to the house and alongside the garden are passion fruit vines with fruits just falling off (can't tell whether they were this property's or the neighbor's). All pool toys, beach gears, surf shoes, suntan lotions, etc are provided for. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery clean, no cobwebs anywhere, no dust at all! All decorations/furniture are island feel but extremely tastefully and beautifully furnished and set up; did not see any piece of furniture/linen with any tears/holes/damage. Linens/towels/china/glassware are all coordinated, high thread count. No funny smell anywhere. All plumbing worked wonderfully (one Bath with jacuzzi). Modern kitchen. Best of all, all you have to bring are fresh groceries, yourselves and your clothes as absolutely EVERYTHING had been thought of and the kitchen pantry is extremely well stocked. Fast computer/access with printer/fax machine right there. Bedrooms/BathroomsVery comfy beds with high thread count linens in large bedrooms especially the whole second floor is a bedroom suite with its own lanai to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Bathrooms are modern, clean, nice towels. Never ran out of hot water even when the dishwasher and clothes washer were running. KitchenAnything you can think of was there to feed an army -- lots of coordinated dishes, plenty of serving platters available. Electric range/oven worked very well. Problems or BonusesWelcome basket with wine/nuts/chocolate were there on arrival but never saw anyone at all though phone numbers were all readily available if there was any problem/questions (which there weren't any at all). The whole week felt like we were at our own home (I wish this was my own home anyway). The only time we saw anyone involved with the property was when we were loading our luggage onto our car on our way out. Then, a lady who lives in the same street pulled a car in unobtrusively in the driveway next door and asked us how the week went ... she had come to clean up and gave us some info about the owners. Agency and Representatives (and price)Very prompt replies to any e-mails/questions. Property was way above and beyond expectations. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Would absolutely want to stay here again! Recommended the property to all my friends.
