2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in Poipu, the southern end of Kauai, Hawaii (2254 Pane Road)

A small cottage style home on a dead end street, just a block from the ocean. It was nice enough, but not great. We stayed there for a week in May 1999. The master bedroom gets the morning sun and becomes too hot to sleep in after 7am. Also sprinklers come on at 7am. Also chickens and cats at 7am. The kitchen was not great, but adequate - old Teflon pots, but they worked. The bathroom ugly with not enough counter space; ugly shower/tub. There is another cottage just behind which was empty when we were there (the owners use it for their guests), but shares the great outdoor shower and the BBQ area. The neighborhood was very noisey with a big party on the Memorial Day weekend. The good points are that you can walk to restaurants and the beach.
