Location

In an older part of Port Richey in a residential estate.

Nearby Amenities

Like much of USA - needed to drive to almost all facilities.

The House/Apartment

A Villa which is beyond tired.

Garden

Advertised as a "Private Pool" - well all pool villas surely are. So we expected privacy but ALL of the neighbouring properties were right on top and all could see into the pool area.

Garden table was covered in thick mildew.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The whole of the furniture, crockery, white goods was many years old and all in need of replacement. Web site says clean but it was not to a basic standard. TVs and even the phone many years old.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Bed was a dated small queen which sank in the middle.

En suite had all of the wallpaper peeling off. The sink taps were loose. The cleaning cloths sat on top of the toilet brush in a bowl! See the photo.

Kitchen

The kitchen fridge was filthy and had to be thoroughly cleaned before you could put anything into it. Cutlery and spatulas had dried food on them. All window ledges and door thresholds thick in dirt.

Problems or Bonuses

It was so bad we moved out after one night having booked 14 nights. It would have spoiled our holiday to stay.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Dealt with owner who thinks it is clean and was only there this last January. We paid £325 per week but wish we had investigated it more beforehand. No local property management company, which we learnt leads to these kind of problems.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

No definitely not. We feel that the web advert is misrepresentation. Old photos. The web site says private pool and it was the opposite. It says clean and it was not.
