4 bed/2bath house near Poipu beach, Hawaii

Location

The house is located 1 block from Brennecke's Beach. The property contains a house and 3 separate cottages with a large lawn area and private pool, shared by all the occupants. The area is very peaceful, except for the roosters crowing early in the morning from the neighboring property. The house is also walking distance from the public beach at Poipu. Brennecke's beach is known for its outstanding body surfing.

Nearby Amenities

Brennecke's Beach Broiler for breakfast/lunch/dinner and some snacks. Koloa town nearby for grocery shopping(car required) and Poipu Shopping Village about a mile away.

The House/Apartment

The house and cottages were probably built in the 60's. They went through a renovation several years ago after damage occurred after a bad hurricane. The cottages went through most of the renovation with newer kitchens, baths and tile flooring through out. The main house is right off the entrance to the property, facing the large lawn area. The 3 cottages surrounding the pool are in the back of the property.

Garden

The main house has a screened in lanai facing a pleasantly landscaped lawn and garden area. The pool area is in the back of the property. The cottages all face the pool area.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was in good shape. We were 2 families, a total of 9 people and we were very comfortable in the space. The aparment was very clean when we arrived and there were fresh flowers waiting for us.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were comfortable, 2 bedrooms containing queen sized beds, 2 rooms containing 2 twins in each, plus a sofa bed in the living room. The bathrooms were pretty basic, as were the bedrooms.

Kitchen

The kitchen was on the small side, but very usable, with enough pots, pans, utensils and plates available. We cooked many meals there without problems. Washer and dryer on a small back porch behind the kitchen. The eating area was big enough to hold all 9 of us comfortably for sit down meals.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The agency was easy to deal with. We did everything by email. We did have to pay the balance of our stay at the office in Koloa town when we arrived.
